Serendipity

As I stood at Tottenham Court Road station last night waiting for my friend someone was playing piano.
I stood a few steps from where he played as he started playing a tune that I quietly and secretly love.
I felt myself smile.

It feels like it is following me.

Just over a week ago My girl gave me tickets for my birthday to go and see it at a theatre in January. She said she saw it and thought of me.

I remember hearing it as I walked through that soulless shopping centre on my way home from a magical day out at a castle I found by chance.

I remember opening a gift and finding magic contained within more magic.

I remember finding something that I wasn’t looking for when I wasn’t looking for it.

I am remembering all that magic that has surrounded me through my whole life and still surrounds me every day, and makes me smile in its wonder.

There is no such thing as coincidence… only serendipity

”serendipity. If you find good things without looking for them, serendipity — unexpected good luck — has brought them to you. … The meaning of the word, good luck in finding valuable things unintentionally, refers to the fairy tale characters who were always making discoveries through chance.”
